Born in 1949, Tokyo. Toshio Shibata studied photography at Royal Academy in Belgium and moved back to Japan. He started to take photos of concrete-made constructions such as dams and roads build up in the nature. Using a large camera, Shibata's photograph captures an artificial and organic figurative view with an accurate and tense composition. Grass, trees, roads and concrete blocks are all used as an element to create a beautiful lines in Shibata's photograph. The artificial objects are naturally positioned in the nature and created a surreal landscape.
