"I heard the other day that we might be in for a new PENTAX DSLR model, but hmm, I’m starting to get the feeling that things might not be looking so promising after all.

At the moment, the only models ‘currently on sale’ are the K-1 II and the KF. The K-1 II has been ‘out of stock’ for several months now, whilst the KF has been discontinued and is apparently only available from remaining market stock. I hope I’m just overthinking it and that these are just unfounded worries."
