I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

josh-n (Flickr stuff) napisał/a:Hi, wanted to clarify a bit more as we're keeping to the same formula as we have in the past.
Pre May 26
If you uploaded a 400x300, then we created versions of images up to a 'Medium 500':
- Square: 75x75
- Thumbnail: 100x75
- Small: 240x180
- Medium 500: 400x300
- Medium 640: Not created
- Large: Not created
If you uploaded a 800x600, then we created version of images up to a Medium 500, even though we could have created a Large:
- Square: 75x75
- Thumbnail: 100x75
- Small: 240x180
- Medium 500: 500x375
- Medium 640: 640x360
- Large: Not created
This is inconsistent, when you compare the two examples.
Post May 26
You uploaded a 400x300 image, we'll also create a Large at 400x300*.
- Square: 75x75
- Thumbnail: 100x75
- Small: 240x180
- Medium 500: 400x300
- Medium 640: 400x300
- Large: 400x300
You uploaded a 800x600 image, we'll also create a large image at 800x600 resolution:
- Square: 75x75
- Thumbnail: 100x75
- Small: 240x180
- Medium 500: 500x375
- Medium 640: 640x360
- Large: 800x600
--------------------
* On the all sizes page, we don't display versions that have the same sizes. So while we create a Large at 400x300, we don't show the Large and Medium 640 at that resolution since it's already been covered by the Medium 500.

Wil C. Fry napisał/a:In summary:
1. You have a free account
2. Free accounts aren't supposed to have access to their original size
3. Until May 26, a "large" was not created for uploads smaller than 1280 pixels, so on those images, free accounts *did* have access to their original.
4. Flickr closed this loophole on May 26 (or thereabouts) and started creating a "large" for all images uploaded since then.
5. For older images that do not have a "large" size, you can rotate (and then re-rotate) to force the creation of a large size file.
6. You can do this as a batch process in Organizr
The Ewan napisał/a:No, that's a bug in the old interface that's been fixed in the new one. For photos with very small 'original' uploads Flickr used not to create a 'large' size, it would just use the original. For new uploads a 'large' is always created, even if it winds up being the same size as the original. That allows everything to work consistently across the site, and for everyone to have their original files properly hidden if they want them to be (or in the case of free account, to have them properly hidden regardless of whether the account holder want them to be). You can force Flickr to reprocess older photos and generate a 'large' size by making some sort of change to them; the simplest choice it to simply rotate them and rotate them back again, though be aware that will break any static links to the files such as copies embedded in blog posts and the like. The photo page URL and any comments, faves etc. would be unaffected.

Piotrek
