Rinko Kawauchi was born in Shiga, Japan, in 1972. She lives and works in Tokyo. Rinko graduated from Seian University of Art and Design in 1993 and started working as a photographer on a freelance basis in 1997. In 2001 she simultaneously released a series of three photographic books - UTATANE, HANABI, and HANAKO, which created an overnight sensation in the photography world in Japan.....
